Ideation started as a series of proposals for tables that could be either used as coffee or bed side tables. Different forms were sketched, looking to create a simple design that could transcend time and bring a certain elegance to the room. Following the sketching process, models were created in foam core to assess dimensions and select a final design direction.
The purpose of the table became to display art pieces, so the right balance had to be found, to not create an overpowering piece and yet have enough character to stand alone. Made in 1/2 inch maple with soap flake finish, this table offers half a frame to enclose its contents, along with a pair of legs that create the illusion of wrapping around the table top.
